It was the first day of a new year at my school and as you can imagine
i didn't feel like going back to school just yet if only the summer holidays could last that little bit longer. I smiled as
i looked at my reflection in the bathroom mirror appearance was every thing to me it had to be, being one of the most popular
girls in school along with my three best mates Haley, Kay, and Mairi. I made my way downstairs and grabbed my bag from the
chair in the hall "bye mum" i shouted to her "bye love and don't forget to pick up your little brother on your way home" she
said coming out of the kitchen "i won't" i smiled and opened the front door proceeding my journey to school.
AT SCHOOL...
"Hey girls" i said to my best mates walking into the tutor room "Linzi"
they jumped up from where they sat to hug me "right girls sit down" our form tutor said as she entered the classroom. We sat
down in our seats and talked quietly amoungst ourselves a knock on the door made our heads turn as four lads walked in and
spoke with the teacher after a short convosation our form tutor turned around and said "we have four new students joining
us today" the lads turned round to face the class and our mouths droped "well girls looks lke we've got not one but four new
eye candies" i said making them and myself giggle.
"Girls would you be so kind as to share with rest of the class as to what
you were giggling at" "no miss" Mairi replied smiling innocently "right then would you be so kind as to show these boys there
way around the school" "it would be our pleasure miss" i replied and looked over at the girls who nodded and moved up one
seat so they could sit down next to one of us. "Go sit next to one of those girls" the teacher instructed the boys i hope
the one i like sits next to me. OMG he is i smiled at him and he smiled back as he took the seat next to me "hey i'm Linzi
Norton" "so i've heard i'm Lee Ryan by-the-way" he replied holding out his hand i shook it and felt like electricity had just
run through my veins it felt amazing "so you've heard about me how?" i questioned "well you pictures up on the wall in reception
area and it says homecoming queen Linzi Norton so are you miss popularity or something Lee asked. Cute and funny "you could
say that" i smiled "hope i won't cramp your style" he said "hell no i mean no of course not why would you think that cutie"
i replied smiling cheekily "great cos i'd like to get to know you" he replied flashing a cheeky smile back. The bell rung
for first lesson "so what you got first" i asked hopeing we would be in the same lesson "history" Lee replied showing me his
timetable "same here" i said smiling so wide it hurt. We entered the classroom and took the last two back seats and started
chatting again telling each other about ourselves we were so busy chatting the lesson just few by and now i was heading towards
dance where unfortunetly had to part from Lee for the next two and a half hours
until lunch. "I think i'm in love" Haley said as she entered the changing room "oh really with whom" i asked "Duncan one of
the new boys who sat next to me this morning" Haley gushed "me two but with Simon" Kay answered "same here with Antony" Mairi
said "what about you Linz do you love Lee" they asked "oh give over you've only known them for an hour and a half" i responded
kinda mad that they were suggesting such stupid talk but deep down i knew i had fallen for Lee i just didn't want to believe
it. "sorry Linz" they replied feeling kinda guilty "coming" i said trying to forget the convosation heading towards the dance
studio doors...
A FEW MONTHS LATER...
I had hid my feelings about Lee only to well he was now (just) my best
mate oh how i longed to have more then friendship with him but i guess i'm the one who blew it now he has a girlfriend Alison
and everytime i see them together holding hands,kissing,cuddling i get jealous wishing that i was in her place.
My mobile bleeped and i got a message from Lee telling me how much in
love he was with Alison i ignored the txt well what else could i do tell him i was happy for him when i knew it was a lie.
But if i didn't he would suspect something was up so i had no choice then to tell him i wa happy for him although it pained
me to do it....
It was getting near the end of the school year and my last school year
which meant the school prom wasn't far away but who would i go with well i had lots of offers but the one i really wanted
to go with was with another. I sighed heavily as i led on my bed that night when my phone began to ring i looked to see who
was calling 'Lee' probably going to tell me how loved up him and Alison were
i hestitated but then answered "hey Lee whats up" i asked "hi Linz could you meet me in the park please i need to talk to
you" he said his voice breaking "sure be right there hun" i answered back and hung up the phone ran downstairs opened the
front door and ran down the road to the park i saw Lee walking towards me his eyes were sad and dull instead of happy and
bright "oh Lee" i said running up to him and putting my arms around him he didn't respond just cried on my shoulder "whats
the matter babe" i said after a while "Alison dumped me she said i was in love with someone else and not her but i don't understand
Linz if i'm not in love with her then who am i in love with?" "i don't know sweetie" i said hugging him again "Linz i know
you've probably already got a date but would you go to the leavers prom with me please" Lee asked "sure hun anything for you"
i replied smiling "thank you i don't know what i'd do without you" Lee said kissing my cheek "well i gotta go now Lee so i'll
see ya on friday night for the prom" i smiled and walking off back to my house i got up to my room and led down on my bed
day-dreaming of Lee and how the prom would go...
PROM NIGHT...
I had just finished getting ready when my mum shouted up the stairs that
Lee had arrived i walked down the stairs and greeted Lee "wow you look great Linz" he said as he saw me "don't look to bad
yourself" i said smiling "have fun" my mum said as we walked out the front door and down the path i linked my arm with Lee's
as we walked to the school... At the end of the night were all waiting to see
who prom king and queen were "ok and this years prom king and queen are Lee Ryan and Linzi Norton" everyone clapped as we
went up to the stage to be crowned and have pictures taken...

That was two years ago and now Lee along with Duncan,Antony and Simon
were in a huge boy band we were all still mates well me and Lee were just mates Haley
was going out with Duncan, Kay was going out with Simon and Mairi was going out with Antony. Lee had another girlfriend now
Sarah and just like i was when Lee was with Alison jealous why couldn't that be me? Why hadn't i told Lee of my true feelings
for him? They had been going out for about a year now and on the outside i was happy for them but on the inside my heart hurt
like hell why i let my head rule over it i don't know but i wish i hadn't. A storm was stirring outside the rain fell fast
(like my tears did some nights) the lightening lit up the sky (like Lee lit up my life) and thunder boomed loudly (like my
heart did when Lee was around). My front door banged i went to open it to see if there was anyone there or it was just the
wind rattling the letter box. I opened it to see Lee stood there dripping wet i steped aside and let him in "Lee what are
you doing here in this weather" i asked handing him a towel i got from the airing cupboard "she's just a golddigger" Lee said
"what?" i asked not understanding Lee's random outburst "Sarah she's only with me for my money and my fame she wants the Lee
Ryan from blue not me Lee Ryan" Lee said screwing up his face and starting to cry "babe" i said sympatheticly as i hugged
him not caring that he was dripping wet he hugged me back tightly like he didn't ever want to let go i pulled away and led
him into the front room "do you want a cup of tea" i asked he nodded slowly as he sat on the sofa i went into the kitchen
and made him and myself a cup of tea. "Here" i said passing him his cup "thanks" he said looking up at me smiling i smiled
back and sat down next to him "your better off without her" i told Lee "yeah your right and i just realised what Alison ment
when she said i was in love with someone else and who it is" Lee said i listened carefully and waited for him to carry on
with his sentence "i don't know how to tell her though so i'm gonna sing a song to her would you listen to it first?" he asked
i nodded and he began to sing...
